Dear Reader,
After three months of operating The Pet Depot, we learned a great deal from our customers. We observed the unique ways they bond with their pets, provide nutrition and supplements, train them, give play-time, administer medications, and more. It gives us genuine joy to see how committed and enthusiastic they are in giving their pets the best life possible. From this brief — and hopefully much longer — experience, we understood that our job is to make their efforts worthwhile and easy.

That an animal can receive such thoughtfulness from us — becoming a quiet but meaningful part of our daily lives — is something we find remarkable.
It's a one-of-a-kind experience. We see that love every single day. It's amazing.
Looking at things from a different angle, running a pet store draws a particular kind of person. The crowd here is noticeably different from those you would find in a bank, a clinic, a liquor store, a café, a toy store, or a club. What we have simply observed — without any effort on our part — is that caring for a pet seems to cultivate something good in a person. Perhaps this is why pet communities are so strong and enduring. It is a culture and a way of life that society has quietly and firmly embraced.
