SMP 500 Tablets are a multi-antibiotic veterinary medicine formulated for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections in livestock and small animals.

Formulation (Per Tablet)
  • Phenoxymethylpenicillin potassium – 250,000 IU
  • Sulfadiazine – 167 mg
  • Sulfamerazine – 167 mg
  • Sulfamethazine – 167 mg
This combination provides dual antibiotic action (penicillin + sulfonamides) for broader bacterial coverage.
Indications
Livestock (swine, sheep, goats, calves)
Used for treatment of:
  • Septicemia (streptococcal & staphylococcal infections)
  • Pneumonia
  • Mastitis
  • Metritis
  • Diarrhea
  • Anthrax
  • Gas gangrene
  • Necrotic infections
  • Other bacterial infections
Small Animals (dogs & cats)
Used for:
  • Pyogenic infections associated with distemper
  • Meningitis
  • Tonsillitis
  • Genitourinary infections
  • Peritonitis
  • Mastitis
  • Metritis
Dosage
  • Dogs, swine, goats, calves: 1 tablet per 7 kg body weight, twice daily
  • Fighting cock: ½ tablet twice daily
Administration
  • Can be given orally
  • Or dissolved in water as a drench
Withdrawal Period
  • Observe a 7-day withdrawal period before slaughter
